Virginia Kelli Rosas RN, MSN, FNP-CFamily Nurse Practitioner
Patients should be cared for in a holistic approach not just physically but also mentally and emotionally. By caring for the whole patient, it ensures good quality care . I also believe in using treatments of a multi-modal approach which would include not only medications but also physical therapy, counseling, referrals to specialists and involving the patient in the treatment approach. Patients that are involved in their own care are more apt to succeed in lifestyle modifications needed and are more receptive with completion of treatment measures. I educate patients on their diagnosis and medications given and then give them a chance to ask questions. It is important for patients to understand what I know and feel comfortable with their treatment.

Spending time with my husband and family, traveling, and reading.
I have been an NP for 15 years and moved to Lynchburg, VA 4 years ago with my husband and our blended family of 4 daughters. My husband and I have just had three of our daughters graduate from Liberty University and the other daughter will be moving back home. We have been a host family for four other young adults as they were attending Liberty and have moved home as well. We are newly empty nesters and are enjoying having time to ourselves. We enjoy traveling, Liberty football games, and spending time with family and friends. I have been blessed with a diverse working history that includes family practice; internal medicine; nursing home rounds and re-certifications; hospital rounds and management of multiple medical problems; orthopedic spine – OR, hospital rounds, and clinic based care; family practice/urgent care; and neurosurgery- OR, hospital rounds, and clinic based care. I love all aspects of nursing and feel that I have been gifted with the opportunity to care for others in their time of need. I am grateful to practice in the area of nursing.
